Ross McKellar
Ross graduated
from Auckland’s Theatre Corporate School for Professional Actors, in 1984. He
has performed in shows at Theatre Corporate, Mercury Theatre, Aotea and Logan
Campbell Centres, and The Court Theatre. Ross was a founding member of The
Other Company which toured shows to schools around New Zealand for ten years.
Ross started teaching in 1986 and was Associate
Artistic Director for a time at the Auckland Drama School and Youth Theatre. He
has written, directed and produced numerous plays for professional groups
throughout the North and South Islands.
After graduating from Theatre Corporate, Ross
started working in television and film. He had four years at TVNZ as an
Assistant Director and Floor Manager. Acting credits include: TV:- The Adventurer, Billy T James Show, Neighbourhood
Network, Gloss, Shortland Street, Hercules, and Xena.
Film:- The Grasscutter, End of the Golden Weather, An Angel at my Table, Vertical Limit, and Fifty Ways of Saying Fabulous.
Most recently, Ross was seen on The Court Theatre
stage in the highly acclaimed production of Homeland.
