NASDA Location

On the CPIT city campus, NASDA is conveniently close to Christchurch's cafés, bars, theatres, The Robert McDougall Art Gallery, and of course, the vibrant Christchurch Arts Centre. For those who love outdoor pursuits, Christchurch is centrally located, surrounded by ski fields, beaches, great tramping and bushwalking areas.

E Block

Situated on the Madras Street Campus, E Block has been the home of the NASDA programme since 2008. Equipped with three spacious studio rehearsal rooms, (two with mirrors and sprung floors and one permanently rigged as a performance space), a 100-seat, black-box theatre, dressing rooms and scene workshop, the first floor is a hive of rehearsal and performance activity round the clock. On the second level, classrooms, keyboard lab, practice rooms, staff workrooms and offices, reception and administration areas complete the NASDA facilities, renovated especially to meet the needs of the Bachelor of Performing Arts programme. Close at hand are the Circo Arts premises, and other departments from the Faculty of Creative Industries. At the High Street end of CPIT's campus are the wonderful facilities of the rest of the School of Performing Arts in JZ Block, home of the Christchurch Jazz School and its Bachelor of Music Arts programme.
